Some areas of Pennsylvania are ground-zero for gas drilling.

The Multi-State Shale Research Collaborative has conducted several studies looking at how intense levels of drilling activity impact the communities that host them.

This presentation will cover community changes in employment, crime, traffic fatality and sexually transmitted disease rates, (or numbers) and housing costs that result from the arrival of a new industry and an influx of new workers.
